JAYJUN PLASTIC SURGERY
> NOSE Surgery> Nose Revision Surgery
If the previous surgery result is different from the expectation, if the implant is showing, if the implant has been shifted, or if nasal contracture occurs, Nose revision surgery is required
CASE 01
When the nose looks awkward due to exaggerated augmentation
To achieve an ideal profile line from the forehead till the chin,
the existing implant is replaced to a new one and autologous tissue used at the same time
CASE 02
When nasal contracture has occurred
Remove the existing implant, mitigate the scar tissue sufficiently,
then replace the custom-made implant and fix it to not let the nose tip be going upwards due to the contracture
CASE 03
When the implant can be seen due to the thin skin
This problem may get improved by lowering the implant in case the implant is too high,
inserting it deeper at the same time. The visible implant will be corrected by using autologous tissue or fats as the skin will be thicker than before
CASE 04
When the nose bridge seems to be deviated
01. If nose bridge is bilaterally asymmetric
Correct the asymmetry by performing osteotomy on the outer part of the nasal bone
02. If nose center is bilaterally asymmetric
Even the implant is inserted correctly, the nose will still look asymmetric. Therefore, implant is inserted after performing osteotomy on the center part of the nasal bone
03. If the implant is located in a wrong position
Remove the implant, flatten the implant inserting area and make it symmetric to insert the implant
CASE 05
When the current nose shape is not satisfying
If the nose shape or height is not satisfying, or if revision surgery is wished for any other reason,
thorough consultation with the specialist is done to catch the exact design of the nose for a correction
It is a natural rhinoplasty that does not use artificial materials and uses only autologous tissues such as dermis and cartilage.
Autologous tissue nose revision surgery is a non-prosthesis surgery that uses your own tissue instead of using artificial implants.
Although it is a difficult surgery that requires high-level technology and skilled know-how, when autologous tissue is used, there is little chance of side effects such as inflammation and contracture, and it has the advantage of looking natural
- Autologous cartilage that is commonly used in rhinoplasty - No Scar because the cartilage is taken from inside the nose - Effective if you need to fill the vector and increase the length of the nose
- Soft, and has rich amount of cartilage - Makes a natural nose tip - It is most useful if you lack nasal septum cartilage
Arrow nose, high and long nose, and hump nose shapes are suitable for revision surgery.
Arrow Nose
High and Long Nose
Hump Nose
High and Short Nose
step 01
Autologous tissues such as septum cartilage and ear cartilage are safely re-collected and cut it appropriately according to the patient's condition
step 02
Gather and tie the cartilage of the wide nasal wing inward and raise the tip of the nose by inserting autologous tissue
step 03
create a naturally tall nose by using own tissue to
If the nose is short and up due to the contracture, it will solve contracture phenomenon and completes a natural and beautiful nose.
What is Nose Contracture?
When inflammation occurs after rhinoplasty and left untreated at the beginning, as time passes, scar tissue is continuously formed and a thick film is formed, which causes is cause of contracture.
step 01
It relieves the scar tissue of the cartilage of the tip of the nose by sufficiently loosening it
step 02
Relieves lifted nose tip by releasing scar tissue
step 03
Fix the nasal tip wing cartilage, improve the shape of the nose tip, and complete it at an ideal angle
- If cartilage is insufficient due multiple revision surgeries, it is performed with costal cartilage.
